Overview
How This Blueprint Is Built
Distance is not one skill. It's a chain of small, correct decisions and positions that happen in less than one second, from the moment you pick your disc to the moment it leaves your hand. If any single link in that chain breaks — a bad grip, a lazy footwork pattern, an early release, a collapsed brace — every link after it has to compensate, and compensation costs you feet.
This blueprint is built in the order your body actually experiences a throw: you select a disc, you grip it, you move into it (X-step), you pull it through your body, it passes through your power pocket, your front leg braces to convert your speed into rotation, and then it releases. After walking through every one of those links, you'll get a full breakdown of the mistakes that break the chain, why the standstill throw is the single best tool for fixing almost all of them, a glossary of every term used here, and two full 90-day programs depending on where your distance is right now.
Read this once all the way through before you touch a disc. Then come back to each section as a reference while you train.
A note on what this blueprint is and isn't: everything here — the technical sections, the physical training plan, the self-assessment tools, and both 90-day plans — is built to be complete and genuinely useful entirely on its own. What it can't do is watch you throw. Video review and live coaching exist specifically to catch the things a written document structurally cannot: the blind spots you can't self-assess, and the small, individual adjustments that a general plan isn't built to make. Use this document fully first — most of your gains are going to come from exactly what's in these pages.
